My laptop crashed last Friday and is basically dead. We'll be sending it off for repairs soon. I'm still with internet access thanks to the main computer in my house, but it's located right in the middle of the house making recording lines impossible while there are others at home. As such, until the laptop returns I won't be able to record my lines for Merick - I can't yet tell you whether this will only be for a few days or for a few weeks, but I shall update once I know.

Sorry to hear that. Fortunately MERICK isn't in the first episode, so if the repairs on your system do end up taking an obscenely long time(several weeks), it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Best guess at the repair place is 'a few days' - they're looking at it now but that's the only estimate I have from them so far. Which is much less problematic than it could have been.
